  • Educational demonstrations
  • Multidisciplinary management approaches
  • Other head and neck oncology-related topics

Written Abstract Requirement


Each video submission must include a written abstract.
Abstract Specifications

  • Maximum word count: 300 words
  • The abstract should clearly describe:
    • Objectives
    • Technique or methodology
    • Clinical relevance
    • Outcomes or conclusions

Technical Specifications for Video Files


File Format

  • Accepted format: .mp4

Duration

  • Maximum video length: 8 minutes

Video Size

  • Maximum file size: 1.5 GB

Aspect Ratio

  • Preferred format: 16:9 widescreen
  • 4:3 format is acceptable
  • Avoid stretched or distorted video formatting

Audio

  • Clear narration or voice-over is recommended
  • Videos should preferably be self-explanatory
  • Excessive subtitles should be avoided where possible

Opening Slide

  • The video should begin with a title slide

Patient Privacy and Ethical Requirements


  • Patient confidentiality must be strictly maintained.
  • The following must not appear in the video:
    • Patient names
    • Initials
    • Hospital identification numbers
    • Any identifiable patient information
  • Written informed consent must be obtained from all patients appearing in the video.
  • Authors may be asked to provide proof of consent if requested by the scientific committee.

Review and Selection Process


  • Video submissions will be evaluated by an expert review panel.
  • Evaluation criteria may include:
    • Scientific value
    • Educational quality
    • Technical clarity
    • Innovation
    • Clinical relevance
    • Video production quality
  • The top-ranked videos may be selected for the Best Video Competition.
  • The scientific committee reserves the right to:
    • Accept or reject any submission
    • Reassign presentation categories
    • Withdraw any accepted video if necessary

Criteria for Disqualification (Video)


Submissions may be disqualified for any of the following:

  • Disclosure of author names or institutional affiliations within the abstract or video
  • Previously published videos
  • Videos previously presented at FHNO conferences
  • Manufacturer promotional or demonstration videos
  • Violation of patient confidentiality
  • Plagiarism or unethical content

AI Policy for Video Abstract Submission


Acceptable Use
AI tools may be used for:

  • Language editing
  • Voice enhancement
  • Subtitle assistance
  • Presentation structuring

Mandatory Disclosure
Authors must disclose any AI-assisted tools used during preparation.

Prohibited Use

  • Fabricated visuals or manipulated clinical outcomes
  • Misleading AI-generated demonstrations
  • AI-generated scientific conclusions without validation

Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of submitted content.

  • Select the "Video Abstract" category
  • Read all category-specific guidelines carefully
  • Enter video abstract details
  • Upload the video file in .mp4 format
  • Review all submission details
  • Click "Submit" to complete the process

General Video Submission Guidelines


  • FHNO 2026 Kashmir invites Video Abstract submissions demonstrating surgical techniques, innovative procedures, educational content, and other head and neck oncology-related work.
  • Video presentations must be based on original work performed by the presenting authors.
  • Video submissions will be reviewed by a scientific panel.
  • Selected videos may be:
    • Included in the Best Video Competition
    • Displayed during the conference on audiovisual screens
    • Featured in dedicated scientific sessions
  • Acceptance status and presentation category will be communicated via email.
  • All participating authors will receive a participation certificate.
